Nowadays, there are digital devices for the radiographic examination and diagnosis in which emitlow doses of radiation and still show more details. 

Intraoral radiographies are very useful for the routine examination. Theseimagescan be taken either individually and overall, that is, include all of the teeth and periodontal tissues.     

OPT is used to evaluatethe upper and lower jaws in two-dimensional (2-D) and shows the teeth status and inter-bone in two arcs. It is also used to assessment the maxillary sinuses(or upper jaw) and the morphology of mandibular condyles. 

This test is used for the evaluationof three-dimensional anatomical structures and oral cavity. In this image, it can be investigated the following structures in two-dimensional axis.

The obtained data form this image and accurate assessment of the implant are very important. This image allows dentist to evaluate the size, bone height and width in three-dimensions and also can detect the veins, nerves and living structures entirely, and avoid the damage during implant placement.
